Paid sick leave accrues at the rate of 1.25 days per month, or 15 days per year. Accruals are pro-rated for part-time employees working at least 20 hours per week. Part-time employees working less than 20 hours per week, and extra-help employees receive up to 24 hours (or 3 days) of paid sick leave annually.
Mendocino County observes 11 paid holidays per year. In addition, each employee is granted 24 hours of personal leave time upon the successful completion of 13 pay periods. Accruals are pro-rated for part-time employees.
Vacation accrues at the rate of 2 weeks per year (for 3 years), 3 weeks per year (after 3 years), 4 weeks per year (after 8 years), and 5 weeks (after 15 years). Accruals are pro-rated for part-time employees.
