Investigative reporter
Scandal, Crime or Corruption?
NorthBay biz is looking for someone to produce expose-style stories for the magazine and website that bring scandal, crime or corruption in government or the business community to public notice. We’re widening the scope of the magazine by featuring stories that speak truth to power. And we’re looking for someone who lives in the North Bay and has a story idea to pursue, or is interested in taking on a story assignment.
The writer should have a strong sense of news and the ability to distinguish and identify a strong lead. A background in investigative reporting is a plus, as well as strong research skills, and the ability to analyze issues and segregate the important leads from unimportant information.
NorthBay biz offers between $2,500 to $5,000 for a long-form story.
