Under supervision of the Education Director, assist with overseeing children in classroom, computer lab and gym activities and outside events, assist with preparation of meals and performs a wide variety of custodial and maintenance duties to provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment, and perform related work as required.
Hours per week will be based on the center needs and funds available.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee children in daily activities, classroom, gym time etc.
• Attends out of gym fieldtrips.
Assist in the preparation of meals Answering of phones in a polite business manner. Schedules, coordinates, and performs routine and comprehensive custodial maintenance of assigned facilities. Vacuums, shampoos and spot cleans' carpets and furniture, washes windows. Removes trash twice daily. Cleans and disinfects restrooms, locker rooms childcare center, facilities, stock facilities with paper and supplies. Identifies stains and uses proper chemicals for removal. Minor grounds keeping duties, picking up leaves and trash. Chalk removal. Responds to service requests, coordinates resource, and implements the set up and take down of furniture and equipment for community events. Maintains inventory and submits written requests for supplies. Operates power equipment such as carpet extractors, pressure washer, hand and power tools and vehicles.
• Performs preventative maintenance in and around facilities.
• Directs the work of student's assistants and short-term, non-continuing employees.
Demonstrated dependability, professionalism, and judgement in performance of duties.
